Food and Nutrition

Our lunch menu from Warwickshire County Caterers provides children with freshly cooked seasonal meals which are prepared to meet their needs. 

Health and good eating habits are promoted during all mealtimes and children who bring packed lunches are also encouraged to follow our healthy eating policy.

Breakfast, tea and snacks throughout the day are wholesome, nutritious and vary from day to day. Naturally, we avoid foods that contain high levels of saturated fat, sugar, salt, artificial additives, preservatives and colourings. 

Through our varied curriculum we also offer children the opportunity to taste and cook foods from other cultures to broaden their experiences. 

In December 2018 we were awarded the Early Years Food for Life Award! This national award acknowledges our commitment to providing outstanding food and food education for children at nursery.  By achieving a Soil Association Food for Life Early Years award, we have demonstrated that we are providing tasty, nutritious meals and an environment that encourages good social skills and healthy choices.  We are also supporting the development of good food habits for life through practical cooking and growing activities and food-based learning - for our children and their families.
